Apple announced to launch the Vision Pro in February

Apple announced launch of Vision Pro in February

After recent losses not only for Apple but for all of the “Magnificent Seven”, Apple has announced that it will launch the Apple Vision Pro on 2 February. You can pre-order the Vision Pro from 19 January. The company is entering a new market that is not yet very mature. This is why Apple can charge very high prices compared to their biggest competitor Meta and their Meta Quest.

Features of the Apple Vision Pro

The Apple Vision Pro has an ultra-high resolution display in each eye. Both displays deliver more pixels than a 4K TV. You can also watch TV shows from Apple TV+, Disney+, Max and other services. The headset also supports High Dynamic Range (HDR) content. The Vision Pro headset is powered by a system called visionOS. This is based on the previous systems called macOS, iOS and iPadOS.

The Apple Vision Pro features a three-dimensional user interface that lets you navigate apps and play games with your fingers. More than 1 million popular apps from iOS and iPadOS will be available on the new Vision Pro. With this headset, you can watch movies in 3D, as well as videos or movies that rotate 180 degrees around you. It makes you feel like you are part of the film. The Apple Vision Pro also lets you use it as a pair of glasses. This gives you the advantage of being able to see your surroundings, even if it looks a little strange.

However, the headset comes with a hefty price tag. From 19 January, you can pre-order the Apple Vision Pro for $3499. It will come with 256GB of storage. However, if you want to be one of the first in the industry to get your hands on a device like this, you might want to consider buying one. You will need to have a lot of extra cash to support Apple because, as always with Apple, this amount is very impressive compared to the competition. It will be interesting to see who actually buys Apple at this price and whether the Apple Vision Pro will be a successful product.

The reaction of the economy to the announced launch

With the announcement of the Vision Pro, Apple is entering a new area in the technology industry. This is the first time since the Apple Watch, which was launched in 2015, almost a decade ago. Another interesting fact is that Apple is entering a very underdeveloped market with the headset, as it is “only” a million-dollar market. All other Apple products are in billion-dollar markets. This is particularly interesting because if people actually buy these headsets from Apple, they could turn this market into a billion dollar market, which would be very Apple-like.

The launch of the Apple Vision Pro comes at a very obvious time. The company has just suffered huge losses at the beginning of the year. These recent losses have wiped more than $175 billion off its market value. This came after two analysts downgraded the stock, leading to a massive sell-off. Tim Cook’s announcement is likely to be an attempt to salvage the company’s image and satisfy Apple’s investors. But this is not just about Apple. As the most valuable company on the market, it is closely watched by many investors because of its importance in the S&P 500. It is also something of a bellwether for how the global economy is faring. This also comes after the recent criticism of the iPhone etc.

What to expect for these kind of headsets in the future

The market for these headsets is not far developed yet. Though Apple could make a significant change with their Apple Vision Pro because it might just be the thing customers waited for. Maybe this is the future and Apple is leading the way into it again just like with the iPhone. They should get less clumsy though because these headsets are not really usable in the every day use since it comes with massive limitations in your vision. This really is especially something for the person that is very much interested in tech or has $3.5k liquid. It will be exciting to see though what development these kind of headsets will experience in the future and if they can replace the phone for the public or not.
